Poultry Project
This project focuses on show birds (fancy bantam chickens, quails, and call ducks). Members are not required to own birds, and there is no date cut-off to join. We get to do fun activities like judging chickens, washing chickens, learning about egg incubation, giving presentations about chicken diseases, and much more! Classes are based on the National 4H Poultry Level I Proficiencies, focusing on nutrition, breed characteristics, and health concerns.
We have a sub-project dedicated to Market Poultry for older members, raising turkeys and meat birds for harvesting. The poultry project is open to all age groups.
